School Packages

 

The Littledown Centre works with local schools creating ‘School Activity Packages’ that will contribute to the (PESSCL) strategy being delivered by the Department for Education and Skills.

 

The Government believes that PE and sport in schools, both within and beyond the curriculum, can improve, and by improving fitness levels, active children are less likely to be obese and more likely to pursue sporting activities as adults.

 

Schools approached us and asked if we could release some of the activity areas to the school. They felt that some of the activities here would inspire most of the kids to get active.

 

We have since added more packages that all have a specific activity programmes that link directly into the PE Key skills for that age. such activities include;  

 

Our School Activity Package supports;

  • School Sport Co-ordinators programme (SSCO’s)
  • Extended Schools Programme.
  • School-Club Links
  • Whole School Approach / Healthy Schools
  • OFSTED
  • Learning through PE and Sport
  • High Quality PE and sport for young people.
  • Building Schools for the Future

A full risk assessment has been undertaken and insurance is provided in every area.

 

All of our staff are fully qualified in their specialist area and CRB checked.
