Schools / Main Gym for Schools

Main Gym and Cardio Room for Schools
Training in the Main Gym and Cardio Vascular room has proved hugely popular with pupils aged 14+ years.
Working out in the adult area has inspired many to commit to their fitness programme.
The Main Gym comprises of:
- A Cardiovascular Theatre with cross trainers, treadmills, cycles and step machines guaranteed to get pulses racing and a great cardio workout
- A Fitness Room with a combination of resistance machines, barbells and dumbbells to help tone and strengthen muscles, along with a stretch area.
All the equipment is suitable for pupils from Year 9 -Year 12 and complements Key stages 3 and 4
Why the package is important?
· Activity such as this helps to build a healthy mind – acting as a type of behaviour therapy, building up low self esteem and confidence levels
· Promotes physical activity – not every pupil is good at sport or enjoys PE at their school. Getting these pupils fitter within the Main Gym area can help to get them back on track
· This activity can link in with key stage development
· We support pupils with special needs and social issues to get motivated and fit
· This helps to tackle the rise in obesity levels
· Taking part in this package demonstrates a strong commitment to making PE and school sport an important and valuable part of pupil’s lives
The package will include:
· A gym induction, personal programme and usage of main gym equipment for each pupil
· Nutritional information - amazing fun food facts that your pupils will find fascinating.
· A healthy body programme - discussing why we should exercise and what changes the body goes through with exercise and what happens without!
· Specific programme available for gifted and talented pupils that can improve stamina and muscles groups associated with their sport
· Awards and certificates
· An easy to follow pogramme that will enable pupils to continue with elements of their routines at home
