Work to improve and soften the surrounding edges of the Littledown Park lake has now completed!

The Littledown Park contains a large manmade lake and work has recently been carried out to;

• Soften and improve the appearance of the lakes edge
• Make the lake more attractive and appealing to wildlife
• Create a safer and more defined waters edge
• Improve the water quality by introducing aquatic plants

Several varieties of plants and reeds all native to the UK, including species such as the Yellow Iris and the Purple Loose Strife have been planted and they will really enhance the lake and over the coming years as they grow and establish themselves.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be working on the fountain which will really aerate and help to clear up the water.
